Some endangered wild animals such as bat-eared fox, Jackson’s hartebeest, African wild dog and Oryx also inhabit this conservancy

Top Things to do in Ol Pejeta Conservancy

The conservancy focuses on the conservation of black rhino and as such faces many threats from poaching. Visit the Ol Pejeta Rhino Cemetery which was opened in 2014 on World Rhino Day. This site is located on the Eastern side of the conservancy and there are 10 gravestones.

You can also explore the Sweet waters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. This chimpanzee sanctuary within this protected area takes care of orphaned chimpanzees.

Within this conservancy is a sanctuary for the endangered black rhino. The last northern white rhinos call this sanctuary home.

Moran Information Centre, named after the black rhino that was famous in the conservancy, is a great place to learn how Ol Pejeta works, creating awareness on rhino conservation and also the various species within the habitat. The centre is free to visit daily between 9am and 5pm.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy has the best wildlife safari experience. Things to do here include lion tracking game viewing, bird watching and bush walks.
